two questions.

If in a payment account I click on a bill transfer transactions that pays a credit card and add it as a reminder, why doesn't that transaction show up as a transaction I can use to "link to reminder" in bills & income? Instead I need to "create a new Reminder"
In Bills & Income, I "create a new Reminder", enter the data, use the next bill due date, and save it. However, In the Bills & Income Reminders, the newly created transaction shows up as Overdue with a Due date of 0/0/1900. Why?

I've run both validate and super validate without errors. Thanks.

If you get transactions with an invalid date, there may be a problem either with the installation of your Quicken software or your data file has been damaged. Program crashes or other unexpected program termination will do that.

If you haven't done so already, please do the following actions:
• Even if you are on the latest software level already, download and install the latest Manual Patch file from https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product to ensure your Quicken software is up to date and correctly installed.
• Reboot Windows. Let Windows fully wake up and do whatever it wants to do after booting up … 15 minutes or so.
• Start Quicken. Do not run One Step Update.
• Run BOTH Validate and Supervalidate to attempt to repair your Quicken data file.
• If nothing helps, try to restore your Quicken data file from an Automatic or Manual backup taken just prior to the problems first occurring. https://www.quicken.com/support/how-backup-or-restore-your-quicken-data

Validate and Supervalidate instructions
First save a backup file prior to performing these steps
Validate:
• Click File
• Select Validate and Repair File...
• Select Validate File
• If the data file contains investment accounts also select "Rebuild investing lots".
• If you suspect that a damaged Quotes Price History causes your problems, also select "Correct investing price history" functions "Delete" or "Repair and Rebuild".
• Click OK
• Review the Data Log. Anything interesting in there, worthwhile posting here?
• Close Quicken, leave it closed for about 30 secs
• Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

Super Validate:
• Click File
• Press and hold both CTRL and Shift keys while you click Validate and Repair File...
• Select Supervalidate File
• Click OK
• Review the Data Log. Anything interesting in there, worthwhile posting here?
• Close Quicken, leave it closed for about 30 secs
• Reopen Quicken and see if the issue persists.

Thanks UKR,

Both validations had no errors. Created new credit card payment reminder transaction from Bills & Income - Link to Reminder and on Bills and Income Reminders screen it still shows as Overdue with 0/01900.

Restored back to R-68.31 2026.09.04, validated, unlinked a reminder, created a new link to reminder and it still shows as Overdue with 0/01900.

went back to a May 26 backup and same issue.

So not sure when data file was damaged but too long ago to bring any file up to date.

Why can't I link the biller to a bill I created from within the transaction register?
