Seeing this for about 3 days. Have submitted a problem report but curious to know if this is an issue that Quicken is working on.
Hello @Snorkle,
Thank you for reaching out and letting us know that you are encountering this error. The instructions with links highlighted in blue should help.
Have you received a CC-501 or "It's not your fault" error message? Let’s break down what these errors could mean and how to fix them.
When Quicken can't connect to your bank account for recent transaction information, you’ll see one of these errors in the program. This is usually caused on the bank’s end — Quicken is blocked from connecting to the account.
Typically, we are already aware and working to fix these issues when they occur.
Also, I wanted to let you know that we do have an Open Alert that you are able to refer to. Which I am seeing that you have on your account internally.
Thank you.

I am having the same issue.
Thank you for reaching out and letting us know that you are encountering this error. Please refer to the previous post that I provided.
Thank you!
I am having this same issue. It started late last week and is still happening today. Just to reiterate. This is the Citi Visa card from Costco. Been using it for years with Quicken and now all of sudden this happens out of the blue. Had the same thing with Fidelity last month or so but it seemed to get resolved very fast.
I should have checked the citibank web site when this problem started. Turns out the my authorization to connect to citibank expired on October 2. I suppose I will have to deactivate and add the account again. For other cards I think Quicken has displayed a dialog to reauthorize but in this case it just produces a cc-501.
Quick follow-up. Reset account fixed the problem.
My Citi authorization ended on 10/3. In my case, resetting the account prompted me to log in to Citi to update the authorization. Using Microsoft Edge, the authorization process failed to update Quicken and Edge landed on an HTTP error page. I called tech support and found out I need to use Google Chrome to complete the process. All is well for me now. In the past, these reauthorizations have been seamlessly prompted by the account update process and have been completed using Edge.
Surprising that there is an issue with Edge since it is essentially a modified version of Chrome. However, take a look at the setting in Edge that tries to force HTTPS in the privacy/security section. BTW I happen to use Firefox and have not have any problems with Quicken.
What I found recently from this CC-501 issue I had with my Bank of America / Merrill Lynch accounts, after about 3 - 4 days of not being able to connect, I "deactivated" my connections and "Reconnected". This cured my problem.
The open alert you referred to is to an old issue from early 2025 and not the same as this current issue. You should be telling people to deactivate their online updates and set them up again for their Costco Anywhere card account in order to have Quicken re-authorized, since it's not happening automatically as other accounts have done. That worked for me, and apparently others lower in this text thread.
Based on the comments of Snorkle and others I deactivated and then reconnected and that worked. Thank you.
