It's open enrollment time for my retiree dental and vision benefits. I know what my new premiums will be starting in January, 2027.

I go into "Bills and Income", then select the bill reminder for the January payment. Then I select "Edit this instance and all future instances" and make the premium changes in the split for dental and vision. To my dismay, the November and December 2026 reminders were changed as well. I assumed "future instances" went forward from the reminder you were editing.

It's like I need a reminder to remind me to edit my reminder in January. 🤔 Is there some other way to change reminders from a specific date forward while leaving ones before that date untouched?

@jtemplin unfortunately, reminder changes apply to the entire series, not from the selected occurrence forward. So editing the January 2027 instance and choosing "this instance and all future instances" will also update the unreconciled reminders that precede it.

A workaround is to create a new reminder that begins in January 2027 with the new premium amounts and end (or delete) the existing reminder after December 2026. Otherwise, you'll need to remember to edit the reminder when the new premium takes effect.

@jtemplin I usually handle this by Entering the November and December reminders, then update the reminder with the new amounts.

Oh, yes. Then I can filter the corresponding register to "hide" those entered November and December reminders. I like that idea.
