Been getting the CC-501 error for my Citi Bank accounts for nearly a week now. I check it daily. Any thoughts?
@Greg Jacob if the C-501 error persists for more than 24 hours the recommendation is to contact Quicken Support. https://www.quicken.com/support#contact-support
Also, deactivating and reactivating is not recommended for this error.
The one troubleshooting step I would try before contracting Quicken Support is an "Update now" -
Do this for each of the affected accounts.
Thank you Sceptic — Prior to my posting — I have tried all the above and when I tried to Contact Quicken Support — all it did was take me to this community. So here I sit awaiting them to respond.
I am having the same issue.
@Greg Jacob you would need to call or chat to get in contact with Quicken Support. They don't monitor this community forum. The link I provided has their contact information. Sometimes the link doesn't work just right. In the link I provided, you needed to click on "Contact Us". Sorry for the confusion. Here is the contact information for Quicken Support -
I "reauthorized" my Citi account and it has worked. The account is now updating and no data was lost or duplicated.
@PatrickJ62 If the CC-501 error is persistent and lasts for more than 24 hours, it is recommended to contact Quicken Support.
Deactivating and reactivating online services is not recommended for this error.
Also by contacting Quicken Support, they can determine if these CC-501 errors are widespread or an isolated incident, by others that may have reported the same error.
@PatrickJ62 that is great, thank you for reporting that. When you say "reauthorize" did you deactivate and reactivate online services for the account(s)?
Thanks Sceptic the AI chat bot had me reauthorize and that fixed it! I deactivated and reactivated online services
Glad you got the issue resolved by deactivating and reactivating account. I am not sure why Quicken Support documentation says not to do that. But both you and Patrick resolved the CC-501 issue by doing so. Interesting. For you and Patrick, reactivating appears to have resolved the issue, but I wouldn't assume that will be the appropriate solution for all CC-501 errors.
