Continuous trouble any Quicken Help Folders

I have used Quicken Classic Deluxe program for years on Windows 10.  Right now I have version R69.53 and it operates just fine for speed.  I have the .qdf data of about 70 Meg with data on my Sync.com account. which never has any problem syncing with any software.  However, as I have had lots of problems reconciling bank accounts I have tried to get Quicken Help.  Every time I click into a Help document the whole program locks up for usually 5 minutes.  Obviously, this is really annoying, and I'd like find out why this is happening.

Try starting Quicken by using (holding down) the Ctrl key while you click on the Quicken icon.  That should start up Quicken without opening a data file, with only toolbar options of File and Help.  Is that Help readily available?  That may indicate if there is something going on with your file location and your Sync.com setup.

As @Sceptic indicated,  for a few years now, all the basic help function are actually online access through Quicken's embedded browser (I believe).  so that may in some fashion be the source of the delay.

@Russ Pond since Quicken appears to be running normally otherwise, it sounds like the problem may be specific to how Quicken is opening Help content rather than a problem with your data file.

A few questions:

* Does the delay occur when opening all Help topics, or only certain ones?
* During the 5-minute freeze, does Quicken show "Not Responding" in the title bar, or does it eventually recover on its own?
* Are you using any security software, ad blockers, VPNs, or web filtering tools that could be interfering with Quicken's ability to display online Help pages?
* Does the same thing happen if you access the Quicken Support website directly in your web browser?

Since Quicken Help content is largely web-based, a delay when opening Help topics can sometimes be related to network access, security software, or communication issues between Quicken and the embedded browser components it uses to display Help.

Also, if you haven't already done so, try Help → Check for Updates and confirm whether the behavior persists after restarting Quicken and Windows.
