Synchrony Bank Issues

Just sharing some positive news. I know over the last year or so, many people have been unable to synch Synchrony bank cards (all pun intended )to Quicken however I discovered a work around that I wanted to share. I have Lowes, Wal-Mart One Pay, Mattress Firm, Care credit etc. If you try synchrony bank cards etc, you most likely will get errors. However, if you do a search for CareCredit and put in your Synchrony Bank username and password, it should pull up all your merchant branded cards. Let me know if this works for you.

I actually have a CareCredit card and had to do the same thing, even though I had already been hooked up to CareCredit. It most likely has to do with the fact that recently Synchrony updated their login process where you had to reregister your credentials. I can confirm if you go into Add New Account → Select CareCredit from the vendors, authenticate, and then link the accounts to the existing accounts you already have, this fixes the issues. This works even if you are using a CareCredit card and were syncing fine before the last few days.

It may also be something to do with the TLS certificate breaches over the last few days, as some websites that use SSL certs that may have been compromised anywhere in the chain had to update their PHP and Cert configs
