Add a “Note / To-Do” reminder type that isn’t tied to a transaction

I use $0 bill and income reminders as notes — “statement is ready to review,” “check septic tank,” “change air filter” — and for important dates like birthdays and anniversaries. It works, but each one has to pretend to be a bill or deposit and point at a dummy account, it shows up as an overdue “bill” until I deal with it, and clicking Enter records a $0 transaction.

Please add a simple Note / To-Do reminder type: a title, a memo, a repeat schedule (monthly, yearly, etc.), and a “Mark done” button that logs the date I handled it (with an optional note), without creating a transaction. Birthdays and anniversaries could just remind me ahead of time each year with nothing to mark. These should show in the Bills & Income list and on the Calendar like other reminders.

Quicken LifeHub already offers birthday and date reminders — it would be great to have the same in Quicken Classic for Windows.

You don't need to Enter this type of reminder. Just Skip it and it'll reschedule itself to the next instance, without leaving a $0 transaction in your dummy account.

Calendar software outside of Quicken might be better suited to handle your scheduling needs.
