Bills & Income screen - Awaiting next bill

Under "Bills, Income, & Transfers", all my credit cards are listed as "Awaiting next bill".

But I have bills for all my credit cards.

I deleted all online billers and then reconnected them.

I ran "Review and Repair:

I am curious what this screen is supposed to look like. In the current form, it's useless.

Are all your credit cards affected, including cards from different financial institutions?
Do any non-credit-card billers, such as utilities or loans, display their current bills correctly?
When you update your online billers, does the update complete successfully, but the status remains “Awaiting next bill,” or do you receive an error?
Are the current bill amounts and due dates available on your credit card issuers' websites, even though they're missing from Quicken?

Exactly my experience. However, if I patiently wait a week or more after a bill is available, Quicken finally does display it. The bottom line for me is that the online biller feature is, at best, unreliable and basically useless because it does not support a single utility that I use, and my credit cards are on auto-pay.

Thank you for chiming in. Your observation about the delay is helpful. When the bill eventually appears in Quicken, does it show the correct bill amount and due date, or is the information sometimes inaccurate as well?

Also, if you don't mind, could you share your answers to the questions in my previous post? In particular, it would be helpful to know whether this affects all your connected billers and whether biller updates complete successfully or return an error.

When Quicken recognizes the bill it is correct.

Are all your credit cards affected, including cards from different financial institutions?

Yes. Chase (Amazon), Citi (Costco), AMEX

Do any non-credit-card billers, such as utilities or loans, display their current bills correctly?

I do not have any utility online billers.

When you update your online billers, does the update complete successfully, but the status remains “Awaiting next bill,” or do you receive an error?

I never get an error message when I update online billers manually but the awaiting next bill remains until Quicken has an actual bill.

Thanks for the reply. To restate my original question: what is the Current Bill column supposed to show?

Here is what I would expect:

Current Bill: the full statement balance and the date it’s due. It would also help to show the statement date.
Last Payment: the most recent payment transaction entered in the register. This part works as expected.

The Current Bill column doesn’t match what I would expect, so I’m not sure how it’s meant to work. My understanding was that the feature was designed to download bills directly from this screen, but that may not have been realistic given what banks support. Can you confirm what it’s supposed to display?

You're correct. The Current Bill column should display the latest bill information retrieved from the financial institution, including the amount due and payment due date. If this information is available from the billers you've set up in Quicken, the status should not remain Awaiting Next Bill.
