Problem with two accounts on NC SECU

We have two accounts at NC SECU. I can add one account but not the other. Quicken either freezes or crashes when trying to add the second account. I added account 1, and then it would not add account 2. So I reinstalled Quicken and loaded account 2, and then it would not load account 1.

Review the system requirements

Verify that your computer meets the system requirements for your version of Quicken.

Check the location of your Quicken data file

If your computer meets the system requirements, make sure your Quicken data file is stored on your local drive. Avoid storing the file in folders synced with cloud services such as OneDrive, Dropbox, or Google Drive, as these services can interfere with Quicken's ability to manage your data.

Try the following performance troubleshooting steps

Close any programs you are not using.
Restart your computer, especially if it has been running for an extended period.
Remove unnecessary items from the Windows Startup group.
Run the ScanDisk utility, followed by Disk Defragmenter if appropriate. Do not run Disk Defragmenter on solid-state drives (SSDs).
Temporarily disable backup programs running in the background, such as OneDrive, Dropbox, or Carbonite.
Check whether other programs are also running slowly, which could indicate a system-related issue.
Add the accounts again. After each One Step Update, review the summary and resolve any errors reported.

Validate and repair your data file

If the issue persists, I suggest validating your data file by following these steps:

From the menu bar, select File > Validate and Repair File.
In the Validate and Repair window, confirm that the correct file is selected.
Select Validate file.
Leave all other boxes unchecked. Do not select Rebuild investing lots or Copy file.
Click OK to begin the validation.
Once the process is complete, Quicken will open a log file named DATA_LOG.TXT.

In the log file, look for messages such as:

Damaged category list
Invalid transaction detected
Deleted damaged payee or account reference
Rebuilt investment lots for [security]
Orphaned transaction removed

Thanks for your reply and for trying the steps above. Let me ask you a few questions to better understand what’s causing this issue:

Is this the first time you’re trying to add these accounts to Quicken, or were they previously connected?
If the accounts were previously connected, are you trying to reconnect them through Account Details > Online Services > Set Up Now, or are you trying to add them through Tools > Add Account?
When Quicken crashes, do you receive a crash report, or does the program close without displaying an error?

Your answers will help us better understand the issue and determine the most appropriate troubleshooting steps.
