Bank Connection Issue - Connecting New Accounts For Already Existing Financial Institution

I'm successfully connected to Ally Bank, and one-step updates are working. But when I try to add a new account and select Ally Bank, I'm prompted to enter my username and password, and I keep getting a "CC-503" error saying the bank isn't accepting them. I've verified multiple times that these are the exact username and password that work to log in to the bank on the website, yet the same credentials won't work to add a new Ally account in Quicken.

I'm having the same issue with other banks too. The option to add a new account and link it to the bank isn't working.

Please advise!

@DuMo I recommend contacting Quicken Support. There are some standard troubleshooting steps for the CC-503 error, but for existing accounts, they involve deactivating and reactivating. Your issue is with connecting new accounts for multiple financial institutions. I am concerned that if you deactivate any of your established accounts, you may not be able to reconnect them.

I received your message regarding the CC-929 error you are now experiencing. I would like to have you try the following steps to see if they help resolve the issue.

First, please wait one full hour. Once that time has passed, follow the steps below to sign out of Quicken and then sign back in:

Select Edit from the menu at the top of Quicken.
Choose Preferences.
In the left pane, select Quicken ID & Cloud Accounts.
Under the Quicken Profile section, select Sign in as a different user.
On the following screen, type "yes" into the bottom box and click Sign Out.
Once signed out, follow the prompts to sign back into Quicken using your existing Quicken ID.

Once you have successfully signed back in, try connecting to Ally Bank again.

To add a little more context to @Quicken Kade's comment, the CC-929 error is usually the result of too many unsuccessful connection attempts, often following a CC-503 error, when adding a new account or reconnecting an existing account. Although Quicken's support article references adding accounts, CC-929 can also occur when reconnecting, resetting, or reactivating an existing account. The common factor appears to be repeated failed authentication attempts rather than whether the account is being added for the first time.
