Sidebar Groups Navigation

I was so excited about the user defined sidebar groups that I upgraded to Premier. BUT, I was extremely disappointed that you can no longer use arrow key navigation in the sidebar. Is this a bug? Or a necessary trade-off? The arrow keys still work within groups, but when you get to the last account in a group and press the down arrow key, it goes to the next Quicken-defined group, in my case Hidden accounts, all the way at the bottom of the sidebar

I can't duplicate that - when I use the up & down arrow keys it moves through all my accounts just like before, going through both custom groups and default groups. I don't normally have hidden accounts displayed in the sidebar but turning those on didn't make a difference.

I've played around with it a little bit more and It works as long as you keep all the groups open. I was expecting it to behave like the default groups. For example, if you arrow key to banking and the group is closed, Right arrow will open the group and left arrow will close it. When one of the user-defined groups is closed the arrow keys will just skip it. If I have to keep all the groups open to use the arrow key, it is less useful than I had hoped. I imagine it has something to do with the way they are set up, because they don't show totals or a register of all transactions like the default groups do. I guess I need to make a keyboard shortcut to open/collapse all groups.

Apparently, there is no menu command for the sidebar, so I can't make a keyboard shortcut natively in MacOS.

OK, I see that too. You can't select custom groups with the mouse either, so it's probably not a bug related specifically to keyboard shortcuts, just a side effect of the way those groups currently work. Hopefully they will add functionality to make custom groups behave more like the default groups, with group registers and banking/investing tabs, and then the keyboard shortcuts will start working normally.

Yeah. There is a lot of weird behavior. If you are in the register for an account in the group, and go to the sidebar menu collapse all groups it actually selects the group and then the arrow key works. But as soon as you leave it you can't select it again, even with the mouse. I think the user defined groups are not quite ready for primetime.
