So, I'm finding that more and more payees are downloading transactions with additional information added to the payee name. An example is a date being added. A payee might originally be listed as ABC Inc, saved with a category, but now it downloads as ABC Inc 110326. Next month it might be ABC Inc 120326 to indicate a December transaction. It would be helpful if the memorized payee list allowed for using the memorized name as long as it contains ABC Inc and ignoring the rest, but still recognizing it as a memorized payee. I use Thunderbird as my email client. When creating a message filter, it allows for "contains," "doesn't contain," "is," etc. Otherwise, the downloaded transaction does not fill in for the existing memorized payee, and the "new" payee is saved as additional. This list can get quite long after a while.
