How do I get QW 2018 to lookup Canadian preferredShares?

I'm trying to get Quicken 2018 for WIndows to recognize preferred shares such as BNS.PR.I, RY.PR.S and TRP.PR.J. I have tried the suggestions in the community posts (prefix the exchange TSE or OMG, use dashes instead of dots, use %2E instead of dashes. I've also tried without a security name, etc.

Quicken only likes 1 dot in the stock name. So you have to use dashes "-" for the preferred suffix. Also, it drops the "PR" suffix and just uses the issue letter e.g. "J"

Once you've typed it in completely, the lookup should work. It won't do a look up on a partial.

For the ones you've shown in your question:

TSE:BNS-I

TSE:RY-S

TSE:TRP-J

These should all work. I checked. Hope that helps.
