Is there a way to not have the last data file open in quicken? I have several data files and would like it to be like excel where I launch Quicken and then choose which data file I want to open.

How about creating shortcuts to each of your Quicken data files and putting the shortcut on the desktop and/or the Start menu? This would allow you to select which of your data files Quicken should open.

Yes, you can open Quicken in safe mode and then select the file to open. Press Ctrl while selecting the icon.

Thanks for the feedback. However, that did not work as it still opened my prior file.

You have to hold the Ctrl key until Quicken is fulling open.

I tried it again holding down the ctrl key and it works half the time. Sometime it went to the last file opened and sometimes it went to the screen to select the file.
Thanks for your help!!
