Used backup file instead of the current file

I just realized that when my computer crashed in April that I've been using the back up file instead of the correct file. How do I fix this and import all those entries into the correct file?
The problem with using th e backup file is that several items aren't reconciled.

You have two choices, continue with the backup and reconcile what's missing, or revert to the original data file and play catch-up. Only you can decide which is the least amount of work/time to get current. If you decide to go with the backup, you should rename the file to a current file name to remove the backup designation.
