Stock that isn't associated with an account

I own a few shares of a stock that aren't part of a brokerage or other account. As far as I can see, the only way to track the value of my stock is when it's added to an account. Is there a way to follow the value of the shares when they're owned directly?

You can set up an account for them.  You don't have to connect it to a brokerage etc.  you can set it up as a manual account.  Call it anything you want.
