The total value for a security (a) includes the value for a second security (b). Why? How can I separate the two?

What are the security names, ticker symbols, and CUSIP IDs as shown in Quicken?
Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, as of 2025 using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro & Win11 Pro on 2 PCs.

Maybe you have an account named as a security holding that security and another security.
In other words, you need to explain better what your setup is, what you are seeing, what screens you are looking at and why you think it is wrong.
You also need to identify what Quicken you are using. It would also help to know how your transactions are getting into the file.
Fundamentally, the more info you can offer, the better the answer you can get.
