Invoices Aren't Totaling in Q 2008 [edited]

I am using quicken 2008 and just installed it on my computer recently. I set up an invoice but when I put in a line item it will not add up the line items nor the tax. Any ideas??

    If you just installed 2008 did you get it updated?  If you have an older version, One of the SuperUsers has posted the update patches for older versions (2000 and newer) of Quicken

    Thanks for the info. I downloaded the patches but there was no change. The invoices still do not add up the lines. When I click on add lines, nothing happens.

    I am thinking it is a compatibility problem with windows 8. I tried the same quicken program on a windows 7 computer and it worked just fine. I would really like to have it work on the my windows 8 computer it anyone out there can help with the issue.
