Why does my reconciliation balances keep changing with no changes in the register?

I've gone in and out of one of my accounts 3 times today, with no changes to the account, yet when trying to reconcile, the uncleared transactions from previous years. One time it's 02/2019, next time it's also one from 12/2011, and this last time, the 12/2011 is gone, but one from 07/2013 appeared. Needless to say the differences are continually changing, making it extremely hard to balance the account. Help, please!

    Your question lacks clarity.
    One time it's 02/2019, next time it's also one from 12/2011, and this last time, the 12/2011 is gone, but one from 07/2013 appeared. 
    "it" is one of my least favorite words in the English language.  What is "it"?  Especially in this type of forum, being specific is a great benefit.

    How are you trying to reconcile?

    when that happens to me, what I find is that I erroneously entered data into the Date field when I thought I was entering it into the amount field. Since I do that a lot, it is obviously easy to do.
