Recently went to downloaded version. First time using. Register is not working the same.

When entering date, check #, etc. in register, It is not moving to next column when I press the enter key

  Try going to:
  
  Edit > Preferences > Data Entry & Quickfill
  
  and make sure
  
  "Use enter key to move between fields"
  
  is checked.
