Date format change?

How do I switch between the date display as "dd/mm/7yyyy" and "mm/dd/yyyy" ? Help notes indicate "EDIT/PREFERENCES/CALENDAR AND CURRENCY" No choices there. Even selected "Multicurrency" in case a European option popped up. If I change the region in windows I can make this change, back and forth. This came up after a Quicken update... the format changed to dd/mm/yyyy. I wish to have it changed back.
