Quicken 2017 for Windows is installed on my desktop computer and is used mainly for the register. I want to access my register from a different location.

    You would have to install Quicken on the other computer and copy the .qdf file from the Desktop.  You would have to move your data file back and forth.  You can do a backup and restore.  

    I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

    Or can can use remote desktop software such as TeamViewer.
