Change owner of data file

I'm using Mac Quicken Deluxe 2020. I have 2 data files, one personal and one for the HOA finances. I need to remove the HOA file from my account and transfer it to a new user using Windows. I already removed this file from my cloud account but I can't seem to remove it from my Quicken ID. How can I remove this data file from my account so I am no longer associated with it?

Thank you for reaching out on the community and telling us about your issue. There is no way to remove/change a data file owner prior to having another user access it. In order to change the owner of a data file another user would need to open the data file. They are then prompted to change the owner before they are allowed to open the file. Once done your information will be removed. You've already removed the file from your cloud so you should be all set past that.
