Does Quicken Basic allow you to run expense reports by category like old, old, version of Quicken?

I have a version older than ten years. On Quicken for MAC how do I get the bank information going back a year to do my taxes?

    If you can't download the transactions you will have to manually enter them.  What problem are you having?  

    I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

    I bought the Quicken basic and I’m thinking I should’ve bought the next grade up. Don’t see where I can do a expense category reports or create more categories. I just want to download my 2019 bank registers not manually. That’s why I upgraded. Maybe I should pay the extra $40 to have someone walk me through?
