Is there an easy way to change the type for a large number of securities?

I track a large list of securities and use the Type field to differentiate them. I need to change the type field for a lot of them to anew type I have just added. Is there an efficient way to do this, or do I need to slowly plow through the list one at a time? Any suggestions are much appreciated.

    I believe you need to plow through one at a time. 

    You can sort the security list by Type so that all the ones you are changing from are together (along with those of that type you are not changing) --- if that helps.  As you make the change, they'll move to their new sort position.
