Is there a way to search for a deleted transaction?

I deleted a transaction I should have not done. Is there a way to search for that transaction?
I have the amount only.

  only way would be to RESTORE from a backup - or just re-enter it manually.

  Open a backup, find the transaction - take notes -
  and then go back to Open your real file and enter info manually.

  If you realize you deleted a banking transaction in error, you can undelete it via the register's right-click menu if you're quick about it.
