Memorize payee when printing checks

The memorized payee list used to automatically add payees that I entered directly to the register, or that I enter using the "write and print checks" window. Now Quicken will not memorize payees from the "write and print checks" window. I have not changed any settings. I have tried the 'Validate and repair file" and "Super validate and repair file" but they did not fix the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
