default loan

I have a loan that I made a few months back. I followed great online help and set it up as a loan I have made to someone else. Now the person has defaulted and given the asset back. How can I show the loan has defaulted, keep loan but stopped, have my history of 5 payments, and shut off future payments from trying to happen?? The loan is now officially in default.
