Entire Category is not shown in report (Q Mac)

In some reports - (transactions by tag for instance) - the entire category is not shown. This seems to be as designed but would like it changed. Example:
Say you have a lot of categories two of which are:
vehicle:Ford:gasoline
vehicle:Mazda:gasoline
The report will show all gasoline transactions as one under gasoline. I'd like to to show both categories in a transactions by tag report

    Right after posting, found answer - on Mac, under preferences - register, there's an option to display long names. Checking this made the reports work like I want.
