Transfer of Shares to New Account

Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭
I moved my existing portfolio to a new broker. I used the "Shares Transferred Between Accounts" dialog box to remove the securities from the Quicken account for the old broker to the Quicken account for the new broker. Quicken seemed to have handled this properly. However, when I attempt to enter the sale of a transferred security after the move, the "Cash Amt" column shows "N/A" in blue and the Cash Balance column is not increased by the proceeds. What did I do wrong, and how do I fix it?

You have a placeholder in the new account. Edit your preferences to show hidden transactions. Delete the placeholder(s). Make other corrections if needed.1
