How create a new rental property expense category not available in the category list.

I need to create a unique Rental Property expense but that option does not seem to be available when I use the standard "add new category" process. In the alternative is there a way to change a personal expense to a rental expense?

    When adding the category, mark it as Tax related and assign it to a "Schedule E" - related tax line item. This will automatically put the category into the Rental Property Expenses group.
