How do I turn off 'on line services download quotes & invest info. Don't want.

Auto Updates check box 'download quotes....' It is unchecked, Won't update unless checked and I have no stocks. Message say 'no stock selected'. Won't auto update. How do i turn this feature off. Have been through all on line help, investment tabs, etc.

    Does this occur while running One Step Update or while running an unattended nightly Scheduled Update?
    Go into One Step Update Settings to uncheck "Download quotes" or 
    for Scheduled Updates go into Tools / Scheduled Update and uncheck "Download quotes ..." there.
