Why do I get "Parameter credentials must be specified for this request" error?

Today, I'm seeing this error with an account I've used for years.

After clicking “Reauthorize” I get this absolutely meaningless error. I tried again later and it did not fix the problem. :-|

I sent a report to Quicken. I guess maybe I should email them?

Does anyone have a clue how to fix this? Thanks!

I just bulled ahead and clicked “Continue” and did approximately what you described, linking and creating whatever I felt like, and things are now working. Thanks for the help!

    Hello @Rich Cook ,

We are sorry about this problem with online banking services and the FDP-350 error message. Thank you for looking to the Quicken Community for assistance.

Have you tried removing passwords from the Keychain application, and then reactivating the accounts? If not, try making use of the steps listed below, in order:

First, save a backup by navigating to File > Save a Backup File… in the upper menu at the top of the screen,

    1. Go to the Accounts menu and choose Hide and Show Accounts
    2. Uncheck any accounts with this specific financial institution that are checked as hidden in Lists

After that, please follow these troubleshooting instructions.

    1. Open the account register and navigate to the Settings gear on the bottom-right corner
    2. Click on the Downloads tab
    3. Click Disconnect Account (if there are more than one account associated with this financial institution, please repeat steps 1 through 3 for each account)
    4. Quit Quicken
    5. Open Finder and navigate to Applications > Utilities > Keychain Access app
    6. On the left panel in the Keychain Access app, set the Keychains to Login and the Category to Passwords
    7. Search for the financial institution's name in the top-right search field and delete any entries found showing "Quicken password for [your financial institution username] at [financial institution name"
    8. Quit the Keychain Access app and reopen Quicken
    9. Navigate to Accounts > New and choose the appropriate account type for the accounts that you previously deactivated
    10. At the bottom of the window showing the list of the financial institutions, click on the "My bank is not listed" question mark icon, then click Update List
    11. Wait for the list to finish updating and " Updated: " displays the current date.
    12. Click the Show List button to continue
    13. Use the search field at the top of the list to find and select your financial institution and click Continue
    14. Follow the prompts to sign in using your login credentials associated with the financial institution
    15. If the accounts have been found successfully; use the dropdown menus to link each account to the appropriate account in Quicken

Let us know how this works.

    Thank you,

    Quicken Jared

    Hello, thanks for your reply.

I tried following your instructions but you might be using some other version of Quicken.

I followed your instructions successfully through step 8, noting that step 7 found no matching keys with the label Quicken password for [your financial institution username] at [financial institution name]. Fine, but at step 9, things start getting weird for me. First, there is no Accounts > New choice; it's called Accounts > Add Account. Small difference I know but things diverge from here so I mention it.

So I type in “capitalone” and I don't see any My bank is not listed question mark icon, there is no Updated: date, no “Show List” buttons. Instead, I see this:

What did I do wrong? Thanks.
