What would cause a math error in my register?

I never expected a math error while entering transactions, but it happened!

I ran a validation, and it was corrected. But really, who would double-check a calculator?

  can you give an example or post a screen shot? It may be easy to explain. What king of account? Make sure the register is sorted by date and not filtered. Sometimes the opening balance gets changed.

  I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
