Split transactions

I have some transactions that are marked as split transactions but they shouldn't be. Is there some way to remove this "split" from the transaction.

@hmbrock first click into the split transaction to see what it is. Then delete the split transaction by clicking on the red X and then replace it with the category you want.
Just deleting one of the split transactions within the transaction doesn't work consistently. Sometimes it gets rid of the split, sometimes not.
