R51.12 row highlighting shaded will not stay set

This has been broken since the last two updates. I tried the mondo patch and yesterday just got a new update to 51.12

I am unable to set row highlighting to shaded, it keeps switching back to the hideous looking outlined.

  That problem was supposed to have been fixed in one of the R 50.xx or 51.xx updates.
  Check Edit / Preferences / Setup to make sure that "Use New Subscriber settings …" was not activated by mistake.
