Spin-off ratio , fraction versus decimal?

I have a spinoff that gives 1 new share for every 3 shares held. So if I have 900 shares, I would get 300 shares of new company. In the spinoff ratio entry box should I enter it as 0.33333? Will this round off to a whole number of new shares? Or will it end up as 299.99 of the new company? Thanks.

it will not round off. But the Spin-off action should create an Add Shares for the 299.98 (or whatever). That transaction you can edit to be 300 with no consequences
