Newly added Bank of America accounts shows only opening balance, will not import older transactions

    I have been trying to set up accounts in a new file for 2024 for over a week. PayPal worked (oddly - that's usually a problem!) My Bank of Aerica accounts are only loading with an opening balance of today. It won't accept manual imports of earlier transactions.

    Did you try downloading Web Connect (.QFX) files from the B of A web site and importing them into Quicken? That ought to work.

    Which version of B of A are you connected to? "Bank of America - Quicken" or "Bank of America-All Other States" or something else? Look in your Accounts List and make sure the "Financial Institution" column is visible.

    PS: we never suggest setting up a new file for each new year. Better to keep all your history together in one file.

    Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, as of 2025 using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro & Win11 Pro on 2 PCs.
