Balance calculation is wrong

I am using Quicken Classic Deluxe on Windows version R55.26.

In one of my registers, there is the following transaction:

As you can see an expense of $9.99 causes my balance to increase by about $3,000. That is clearly wrong (and the first time I've seen anything like that). What do I do to fix it?

    I know CTL-z recalculates the register for investments, but not sure about banking accounts. But You could try that. Next I would delete and re-enter that last transaction. No joy there then try file operations>validate and repair>validate.
