Moving Data and/or Share

I purchased a new MacBook Pro. I have been using Quicken on my 2019 iMac Desktop. I plan to keep the iMac for a little longer but I'm going to begin using Quicken on my laptop. Can I do a second install of the software while already installed on the iMac? And can I share the data file between computers in single user mode?

You can install Quicken on as many Macs as you like. You can't put the file somewhere where it can be accessed by multiple computers, that sort of cloud storage just leads to file corruption. You can move the file back & forth between computers but you'll want to compress the data file to a ZIP and move the ZIP file to the other computer. You can also make a backup of the file, move the backup, and restore the backup on the other computer.
