Reauthorization

I continue to get notices to reauthorize American Express even after I have done so. There is no duplication of this account and despite the notice to reauthorize the account downloads just fine.;

What type of AmEx accounts do you have? Credit Cards only or Savings accounts from American Express National Bank, too?
How many accounts total do you have?It might be best to deactivate ALL AmEx credit card and savings accounts. When done doing so, create a backup, then close and restart Quicken. Use Tools / Add Account to add your accounts back to "American Express". Follow the procedure and, when you get to the list of accounts found at AmEx, carefully click to LINK each one of them to the correct already existing account register.
That seems to have worked for my accounts, when I did this several weeks ago. Haven't been asked to reauthorize since.

My only AMEX account is the credit card. During One Step Update and just updating the one account, I received the reauthorization prompt. Each time I I was partially successful in that the browser page said success but upon returning to Quicken I needed to choose the account to link with. My AMEX account wasn't one of the drop down choices. I was successful by going to the Account Details page and chose Reset Account. That worked.

Thanks, Robey! I had the same issue and your solution worked for me.
