Why is unrelated transaction showing up in Discover Card transaction report
As shown in the attached monthly report for my Discover card, there is a transaction at the bottom for a payment of $195.12 to a Macy's credit card. This is an electronic payment from my checking account and is not listed as a transaction in my Quicken Discover Card account, yet it shows up when I create a report. It does not create a reconciliation or account balance problem so I am not losing any sleep over this but I wonder why the Discover report is picking up this transaction unrelated to the Discover card. I have validated my Quicken file and no errors were found.

And what are the filter selection criteria for this report? How did you tell the report generator which transactions, accounts, etc. to include?

Duh! When I create a report for each credit card account, I assume transactions will appear for that account. I re-generated the report, clicked on the "accounts" tab, and saw that Macy's had a check mark. I removed the check mark and Macy's disappeared from the report. What I thought was a technical issue was just a little check mark.
Thanks for your reply and questions UKR. Very much appreciated!
