Red circle with line through it - Closed accounts

Red Circle alert began appearing yesterday on all my 30+ closed accounts. Validate and Super Validate did not correct. Seems to be a nuisance alert as it does not appear to adversely affect anything. Please advise.

  • @Jim18581 it looks like you are getting CC-800 errors. Please take a look at the suggestions in the Quicken Support article -

    https://www.quicken.com/support/error-message-when-updating-accounts-cc-800/

If you still get the errors, then I would recommend deactivating all your accounts, no matter if they have an error or not, and then reactivating them by doing an "Add Account" ensuring that you link to the existing account in Quicken.

The "Red Circle" appears ONLY on Closed Accounts. Suggested solution of Deactivating / Reactivating / Relinking all my 20 open accounts not a good solution.

  • @Jim18581 sorry about that. I didn't catch the fact that the accounts are closed. That is normal and intended behavior for closed accounts. If and how closed accounts show on your account list can be controlled by the "Account Display Options" on the Display Options tab of Account Details

For closed accounts, the second checkbox is always checked and cannot be changed.

If you need to make changes to or review several of your closed accounts please try this function:
