How to prevent transaction split detail in the reconciliation module

Q Mac, v8.2.1: Reconciling a bank account to the monthly statement, when clearing a transaction with splits, the transaction split detail opens up in the reconciliation window. Split detail is irrelevant in the reconciliation process: either the transaction cleared or it didn't. There would never be a need to clear some split rows of one transaction but not others. Showing the splits just pushes all subsequent transactions down in the window which is a bit annoying. Can't find a way to turn off this feature. I'll submit to Quicken unless someone can direct me to such an option.
