Stuck (yet again!) on Wells Fargo Online Bill Payment when exiting Quicken
This seems to happen ever few months and usually I am able to fix the problem, but I am stuck yet again run the infamous "You have online payments to send" error message when trying to exit Quicken. I have made several online payments via the check register using Wells Bank Bill Pay and all have a status of "Sent". Yet I cannot exit Quicken without the error message popping up.
This is what I have done thus far to resolve:
- Backed up File.
- Validated File
- Attempted to deactivate Wells account (was able to once but no longer) and reset up (successfully).
- Ran online services succesfully.
- Contacted Wells Fargo Online services to check if any back end problems (all payments properly processed.)
Any suggestions to fix this issue?

Ok Steps 1-4 did not work. Following step 5 though interestingly found a check I sent online via Wells Fargo for a credit card payment was that was scheduled to be paid to Chase on May 20 2025 (today is June 10 2025) and shows it was sent in the Quicken Wells Fargo check register, but when I clicked on the lightening bolt for that particular transaction, the dialogue box say "Status: Payment Status request ready to send."
I am not sure what that means. I checked my Wells Fargo account online and it shows it processed the check yet interestingly Chase says they never received the funds. I have asked Wells to trace the payment (it's an ACH payment).
So I am guessing this is the issue. Now that we have identified the transaction causing the error, any ideas how to "clear" it. I do not want to delete it (not even sure I can delete it) given the money has been taken out of my checking account at Wells Fargo.

@jcoley2 I am glad you found the reason for the issue. Since Wells Fargo shows the transaction as processed, they will probably post a credit to offset the transaction
On the Quicken side, keep the transaction if it's not causing any issues, but then it will be offset by the credit.
If the original transaction is causing issues, you can delete it and replace it with another transaction on Quicken.

Understood your point but my point was trying to get rid of that [Removed - Language] error message telling me every time I want to quit Quicken I have online payments to send. If I just ignore it now on, then when I do have an issue, I will never know.
Hence, I was trying to clear that message.

Ok final success (and you can close case.)
After an investigation Wells Fargo figured out the ACH payment did not go through and credit me back the check amount. Rather than accepted the deposit I deleted it and the bad original transaction and no more error statements.
