I am running Quicken Classic Version R62.16 Build 271.62.16 Windows 11 HomeMy bank is Gateway Metro Federal Credit Union
Last night I tried to update my quicken file, but it came back with an error (can’t remember the number) that said, in summary, that I must have restored from a backup that was missing an account. (I did not restore from a backup.) I was instructed to click the ‘fixit’ link.
After clicking the ‘fixit’ link, Quicken came back with the same message, but my paid off Signature loan file was added to the restore. Again, it wanted me to click the ‘fixit’ link.
Clicked it again and my Share Savings account came up with a nice balance – however, not a true balance. It shows a balance of $6,509.97 and in reality, it is $209.97. I have no idea how to fix this.
I think I had to do a ‘fixit’ again and this time I had my Credit Card loan account.
So, I examined the Savings account and discovered that all my transactions for my Signature loan and Credit Card loan accounts went to the Savings account as payments and DEPOSITS. No wonder my Savings account balance is way out. See Image1.jpg attached.
