Memorized Payee no longer working properly

I am running Windows Quicken Classic Premier Version R63.21 Build 27.1.63.21.

I used to be able to pull up the memorized payee list, select the saved payee and then hit enter and it would fill in the register with information. I now have to "right click", select "use" before it will enter the memorized payee into the register. It has worked this way for years and years before the most recent update. Any idea why hitting the enter key will no longer fill in the register?

Is there any setting that I can change to allow me to just hit the enter key, without having to use the mouse?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why don't you just start entering the memorized payee in the register field and it will display? If I type in Cos in the register, Costco appears along with category, and I just click on Costco and everything is entered. It seems you are taking an extra step by accessing memorized payees, scrolling to the payee you want and hitting enter.

Am I missing something here in your post?

No you're not. I've been using Quicken for decades and I guess I just got into a habit of doing it a certain way. I guess old dogs can still learn new tricks.

    Thanks.

I also do things a certain way in Quicken that are different and if it works, why not? I just shared a tip you weren't aware of. I had a Quicken user crticize me some years backing stating that I wasn't using Quicken the way it was designed but the procedure I was using worked for me. That's like criticizing someone for using a screwdriver to open the lid of a can of paint and telling them the screwdriver wasnt designed for opening a can of paint.
