During reconcile, populate the Service charge and Interest earned dates

Currently, if one enters a date (in particular, the day) for an Ending Statement Date, that does not carry over into the Service Charge and Interest earned dates. I think it would be better if it did.

ALSO, it would be nice if there were an acount setting for pre-populating the ending statemen date (and then these other dates). Options could include

  • Last day of the month (checking accounts, for example)
  • A given day of the month (e.g. "24" for the 24th).
  • A given number of days since the last reconciliation (possibly useful for some credit card accounts).
  • Leave it blank
  • Make it the same day of the month as the previous statement (current behavior)

Just for reference, to get everybody on the same track …
You are talking about this Reconcile window for offline accounts?

Usually, Ending Statement Date advances from one month to the next, keeping the same day. Exception: days 29 - 31 adjust to the last day of the month for short months
And, IIRC, dates for interest and bank charges also advance using the same rule.

A setting for all three dates to better control fixed date vs last day of month sounds like a good idea.
