Fidelity account not found by quicken?

windows 11 enterprise, quicken version R63.21, build 27.1.63.

i have an existing fidelity HSA that has been and continues to successfully download transactions. i used the complete tracking option. however, i just opened a regular fidelity brokerage taxable account and when i try to setup the online capability it will not find the new account. the authorization window after my fidelity login shows both accounts but when i go back to quicken I only get the option to connect the existing HSA account.

Any suggestion on getting the new account into quicken are appreciated.

I'm assuming you added a new account into Quicken and named it with a different account name like Fidelity Brokerage Account and set it up to receive downloads from Fidelity for that account.

    Hi Jeff

Your assumption is correct. In Quicken, the new brokerage account has a unique name different from all other existing accounts.

I was about to submit the above response and i thought let me give it one more try. I created a new quicken backup and then reset the existing Fidelity account. It found the second account! I done it a couple of times now and the balances all match. I will never understand why it did not work yesterday but am content until the next isue.

    Thanks for the response.

  • @JMDSDG I have seen a few posts about new accounts not showing up as available. They always eventually show up. I think it sometimes it just takes a couple of days (or more) for new accounts to show up for Quicken.
