investment Reports are really basic and inadequate in Quicken Mac

The Investing Reports in Quicken Mac are very inadequate.

I've posted this before so I won't repeat it but the very useful investment reports in Quicken Windows need to be recreated in Quicken Mac, for example:

  • Investment performance (IRR) report or graph
  • Income by Security
  • Investing Activity report
  • Investment Income report
  • Investment Transactions report

It's very telling that when you go in the Reports Tab in Quicken Mac there isn't even a folder for Investments (such as folders Popular, Transaction, Summary, Comparison, etc.). How this escapes attention is very surprising to me.

Creating investment reports is pretty straightforward once you have everything set up, as Quicken Mac does so I don't know why this hasn't been added despite requests over several years now.

In the mean time I create my own reports but I want this to be provided in the finance software I use, which for now is Quicken Mac.

There is a lot of good information in the security detail when I select a single fund or security but it would be so helpful to have the option to show the chart of the fund value over time, not just the price. This is the one feature I miss from the Windows version. Please add to Mac.

I'm in the same boat. Q-Win has such a rich set of investment reporting. Q-Mac needs to catch up quickly. This should be a high priority for Quicken.

  • Dividend reporting per security should be High priority in Portfolio view to provide overall view of investment profitability.

I would love to be able to create a graph out of a report. I was a Quicken for Windows user for 30 years and am a bit disappointed in the lack of features on the Mac version, especially something as basic as creating a graph.

Welcome to the club of Mac users who have been wanting this feature parity to Windows forever and instead Quicken delivered save to cloud, more bill pay crap, and endless ways to sort columns and arrange the sidebar.

Really need investment reporting to make this useful.
